Local Rules
- 1 - All made up roads and paths, parts of bridges not within a hazard, electricity pylons and poles, the net at the 10th tee, gravelled drainage lines, ball washers, seats, bells, tee markers, manhole covers, staked trees and their stakes are IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS (Rule 24-2)..
- 1.2 - Anything else is an integral part of the course.
- 1.3 - A shot striking any electricity wire, pylon or pole must be retaken without penalty.
- 1.4 - Deep ruts, made by tractors or buggies, interfering with ball or stance may be considered as ABNORMAL GROUND CONDITIONS (Rule 25-1).
- 2 - STONES IN BUNKERS may be removed without penalty.
- 3 - FIXED SPRINKLER HEADS
All sprinkler heads are IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS (Rule 24-2).
If your ball lies off the green, not in a hazard, and within one club length of a greenside fringe sprinkler head in your line of play, you may lift, clean and drop your ball without penalty, at the nearest point which avoids the obstruction, is not in a hazard, nor on the green and not nearer the hole. - 4 - If a ball lies on a clearly marked winter green, or on a green other than that of the hole being played, it must be lifted off that green and dropped two club lengths from the nearest edge. The ball can roll up to two club lengths from where it first strikes the course but no nearer that green and no nearer the hole you are playing.
- 5 - MEASURING DEVICES may be used. (Rule 14-3 Note).
- 6 - HAZARDS
Water hazards are defined by yellow, and lateral water hazards by red, stakes (Rule 26). Balls must not be retrieved from the pond on the 5th. - 7 - THE STEPS INTO THE BUNKER ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE 9TH GREEN are IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS. Rule 24-2 applies.
- 8 - The car park, the practice putting green or beyond any course boundary or white posts is OUT OF BOUNDS (Rule 27).
