Following the sad loss of our dear friend, Fred Punshon, in 2008, the Club decided to inaugurate a new competition in his memory.

First run in 2009, the competition proved very popular and also introduced competition to some members who had not entered one before. 589 rounds of golf were recorded in the 19 Sundays that were played.

WHO CAN PLAY IN THE FRED PUNSHON LEAGUE?

Fred always had a friendly word for everyone that he came across and to reflect this, the Fred Punshon Memorial League is open to all sections of the Club - all you need to enter is to have a CONGU handicap.

There will be approximately 20 league events played on Sundays, throughout each season.
