Chris Paisley triumphs
Chris Paisley is the victor once again in the County Championship

STOCKSFIELD’S Chris Paisley is the new Northumberland matchplay champion.
The 21-year-old claimed the crown for the first time in emphatic style, when he crushed Morpeth’s Craig Penny by 7 and 6.
Paisley, who is half way through a four year course at Tennessee State University, is playing some superb golf on both sides of the Atlantic.
Penny lacked the experience of Paisley, who has been a brilliant prospect since he was 16 years old and has played for both the junior and senior county teams for several years.
Also for a player of such slender build, he hits the ball a long way.
In the final, Paisley was three down early in the match, but that deficit was transformed into a three hole lead after the first 18.
He then let the fireworks fly and covered the first nine holes of the second round in a brilliant five under par 29, which included seven threes and a chip in at the ninth, and went seven up, from which Penny never recovered.
