Tyne Valley Alliance
An alliance of 6 golf clubs in the Tyne Valley area
A new alliance was formed for the 2009 season from fiveof the golf clubs in the Tyne Valley area. Stocksfield, Prudhoe, Garesfield, Allendale, Ryton and Tyndale have joined together to cooperate on marketing golf in the area, sharing the costs involved.
The first initiative has been to produce an Alliance Golf Card which is available to all full members of all six clubs (for the nominal cost of £1 to cover printing costs) and entitles them to a free round at each of the other member clubs - a value well in excess of £100!
Take up of this offer has been very interesting with Stocksfield receiving visits from members of all of the other clubs. Prudhoe members in particular showed their liking for Stocksfield with 96 visits during the season so far!
