Lady Captain's Day
Well Done Muriel
A terrible weather forecast was predicted for Muriel's Captain's Day. She had worn out the prayer mat the night before but despite this the day started just as the forecast had predicted with grey gloomy skies plus a light shower now and then.
However, just as the first ladies arrived at the tee box her prayers were answered. The clouds lifted and the day just got better and better, a little wind and some warm sunshine. Who said the sun doesn't shine on the righteous!
The ladies taking part seemed to be in good spirits and fortunately some even played very well too! However, I am not sure if the very welcome hospitality on the 10th helped my own golf but I certainly did enjoy it. What a punch!
The banquet provided by Russell was superb, the icing on the cake was seeing a number of our past players catching up with the clubs news and passing on some delightful and unforgettable stories of yesterday.
Overall it was a most enjoyable day, orchestrated to perfection by Muriel, Albert and family. Well done all of you. Ann Murphy.
