Following the success of the Café Golf for Ladies last year, we are introducing a similar scheme for men, this year - 'Starter for 10'.
The aim is to introduce new men to the game, giving them the knowledge, the confidence and the fellow playing companions they need to start them in this great sport.
Rather than play the back 6 as the Café Golf Ladies do, this scheme will run on the front 10. In addition to the 10 holes being available, the Starter for 10 guys will get a group lesson each month and a voucher for coffee or beer each month.
Using the front 10 will avoid too much congestion at the back of the course and will make it easier for the men to fit in as they will start from the first. To reflect the difference in number of holes for the same basic cost, the men's scheme will start a month later and run for 5 months instead of 6.
For now, the important bit to note is you don't have to commit immediately.
