Coinciding with the June Medal this Saturday 5th June, we have a TGI Srixon Amateur Championship Qualifier. At no extra cost you have the chance of qualifying to play in an event with our Professional Nicky at The Belfry in October. On Saturday, Srixon will be sponsoring our event and have made a donation for the top 3 finishers! There are 90 clubs across the UK competing in these club qualifiers, however only the top 20 scores of the 90 will be going through to play at The Belfry.
Also just to remind you that Preferred Lies on Closely Mown areas are NOT in place anymore. You should play your ball as it lies in accordance with the rules of golf. With the above being said, the greenkeeping team are planning on Verti Draining the front 9 holes. The aeration holes should close up within 2 weeks. However as in accordance with the rules of golf under Local Rule E-4 - "If a player's ball lies in or touches an aeration hole:
(a) Ball in General Area(Fairways/Rough). The player may take relief by dropping the ball to the nearest point of relief. If the ball comes to rest in another aeration hole the player may take relief again under this rule.
(b) Ball on Putting Green. The player may take relief.
But interference does not exist if the aeration hole only interferes with the player's stance or the player's line of play.
