Captains Charity Day Update

Many of you will have seen that my chosen charity for my Captain’s year is St Oswald’s Hospice based in Gosforth.

I am very pleased to announce that because of the generosity of the members of our great club, we were able to raise an outstanding £542 for this invaluable cause. That’s £435 raised via the raffle and £107 donated by the club through the competition entry fee. I am extremely grateful and proud that we all dug dip to raise this amount – so thank you so much.

Special thanks to Sonia and Hannah Kennedy, Sue Brown and Judith and David Mole for helping to sell tickets and completing the unenviable task of folding tickets up! And Hannah’s cup cakes were a show stopper! Thanks to Russell and the team in the clubhouse for selling tickets throughout the week. And thanks to Richie Armstrong and the White Swan in Ovingham for their kind prize donations.
